April 28    Yesterday Len was saying things that I couldn’t follow. This is the first time he has seemed out of it to me. I felt scared. I am worried about Len. Edith says she worries every night when they go to sleep. · Today Len woke up to find me sitting in a chair at the foot of his bed, gazing at him. He said, “Well, well, well, look who it is” and nudged Edith. She looked up and said, “Oh. I thought it was going to be Bonnie.” I walked over to Len, and he touched my cheek and told me he couldn’t believe it when he saw me over there and what a lovely surprise it was to look up and see me.
